<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stipulating the closing order of a plurality of covers with a simple configuration in a case that the covers are opened or closed in the interlocking motion. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing interlocking mechanism 30 includes a first rack 31, a second rack 32, a pinion 33, and a holder 34. The first rack 31 is connected to a side cover 24, and a second rack 32 is connected to a top surface cover 25. The pinion 33 includes a first gear 33a engaged with the first rack 31 and a second gear 33b engaged with the second rack 32. A rotation amount of the second gear 33b when the top surface cover 25 moves between a closed state and an opened state is equal to or less than one rotation, and the second gear 33b engaged with the second rack 32 is formed with an un-toothed portion 35 in an area having a predetermined angle θ with a rotation shaft as a center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
