<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of excellently determining whether or not a connected branch apparatus is an apparatus requiring power supply from a display device which is a synchronous apparatus by a simple procedure. <P>SOLUTION: In a display device having a video interface of a DisplayPort standard, a determination signal supply circuit impresses signals for determination to a terminal (Pin14) of the branch apparatus connected through a connector. A level evaluation circuit evaluates a voltage appearing at a terminal (Pin13) of the branch apparatus when the signals for determination are impressed by comparison with two kinds of mutually different reference voltages preset within a range higher than GND and lower than a voltage of a second internal power supply of itself, and whether or not the branch apparatus is the apparatus requiring the power supply from the display device is uniquely determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
