<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial center position correction device in which a center hole is not needed in a product (a tripode member) and a centering tool is not needed, and to provide an axial center position correction method, the tripode member, and a tripode type constant velocity universal joint. <P>SOLUTION: The axial center position correction device corrects the axial center position of the tripode member 1 having a boss 2, and leg shafts 3 projecting in a radial direction from trisection positions in the circumferential direction of the boss 2. The height positions of body parts 3a of the leg shafts 3 of the tripode member 1 where the axial line of the boss 2 is arranged on a vertical straight line are detected.
