<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double row angular ball bearing, which has a high load capacity and a long life, and has superior sealing properties with less risk of interference between a sealing device and a retainer. <P>SOLUTION: The double row angular ball bearing includes: an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, two rows of balls 3, crown-shaped retainers 4, 4 retaining each row of balls 3 between the inner ring 1 and the outer ring 2 respectively, and non-contact sealing devices 5, 5. The diameter of the ball 3 is set to ≥75% and ≤83% of half of the bearing width. The shape of a pocket 4a of the crown-shaped retainer 4 is substantially an elliptic shape having a diameter along the radial direction of the retainer 4 as a long diameter.
