<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can turn on or off a large amount of current using a graphene sheet. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device comprises: a substrate; a graphene sheet formed on the substrate via a gate insulation film; a source electrode formed at one end of the graphene sheet; a drain electrode formed at the other end of the graphene sheet; a gate electrode for applying a gate voltage to the graphene sheet between a source region and a drain region; and an aperture row comprising a plurality of apertures formed on the graphene sheet so as to traverse a flow of a carrier from the source electrode to the drain electrode between the source electrode and the drain electrode. At the respective apertures 4 or more carbon atoms are removed from the graphene sheet, and each of the apertures is defined by zigzag-shaped ends comprising at least 5 carbon atoms including 2 or more carbon atoms having bonding hands not bonded to other carbon atoms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
