<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller leveler and straightening method for a metal plate, capable of fully straightening even a metal plate that is thin and has high yield stress. <P>SOLUTION: A roller leveler 100 which straightens a metal plate P that has been cut out includes a plurality of leveling rollers 6 and 8 that are arranged in zigzag above and below a pass line for the metal plate P to be straightened, for rotating to cause the metal plate P to be passed while sandwiching the metal plate P for straightening, a hydraulic rolling cylinder 4 which rolls the metal plate P by way of the leveling rollers 6 and 8, a plurality of intermediate rollers 13 and 14 having diameters larger than the leveling rollers 6 and 8 which are so provided on the upper and lower outside of the plurality of leveling rollers 6 and 8, as to come into contact with the leveling rollers 6 and 8, and a drive device 15 for rotating the intermediate rollers 13 and 14. While rolling the metal plate P by the rolling cylinder 4 by way of the leveling roller 6, the intermediate roller is driven by the drive device 15, so that the drive force is transmitted to the leveling rollers 6 and 8, for the metal plate P to be passed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
