<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal side modem and a communication system that can solve abnormality such as a hangup of a monitor camera associated with software through remote control. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system in which a terminal-side modem 1 connected to a high order-side model 2 through a coaxial cable 3 is connected to a monitor camera 4 through a cable run 5 for digital communication and power supply, for example, the high order-side modem 2 is provided with a power supply control part 25 which functions to monitor abnormality of the monitor camera 4 and to output a power supply control command to a terminal-side modem 1 when detecting abnormality, and the terminal-side model 1 is provided with a communication part 101 through which the high order-side model 2 and monitor camera 4 transmit and receive communication signals to and from each other, and a power supply part 102 which supplies a power supply voltage to the monitor camera 4, and temporarily turns off the supply of the power supply voltage when the communication part 101 receives the power supply command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
