<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a flicker and to perform high quality display in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device comprises: a transparent substrate (10s); multiple transparent pixel electrodes (9) provided on a first surface side of the transparent substrate; reflective films (61, 62) provided between the transparent substrate and the multiple transparent pixel electrodes; multiple pixel transistors (30) provided between the transparent substrate and the reflective films, corresponding to the multiple transparent pixel electrodes; and a light detection element (600) which is provided on a side of a second surface different from the first surface, of the transparent substrate, and which is provided so that at least one part does not overlap with the reflective films viewed from a normal direction of the second surface, and which detects light having passed through the transparent substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
