<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of normally performing a test on a design stage or an adjustment stage and further protecting an amplifier apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Caution-needed determination means 6 detects an output load of an amplifier circuit 2 and determines that caution is needed when an audio signal is a special signal and a load level exceeds a predetermined value. On the basis of the kind of the audio signal, test signal determination means 8 determines whether or not the audio signal is a test signal. When the caution-needed determination means 6 determines that caution is needed, mode switching means 9 switches to a low power mode. In the case where the test signal determination means 8 determines the test signal, however, the mode switching means 9 does not immediately switch to the low power mode even if caution-needed determination is made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
