<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery whose performance can be improved and can be maintained over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The battery includes: a unit cell comprising a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte layer disposed between the cathode and the anode; and a container housing the unit cell.
