<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-beam optical scanner for improving pitch precision in a sub-scanning direction of a plurality of laser beams and a method for manufacturing the scanner. <P>SOLUTION: An installation reference surface 51A is fabricated on a peripheral surface of a cylindrical holding member 51 which holds a multi-beam semiconductor laser inside. By the cylindrical holding member 51 being fixed onto an attachment surface 55A of a case 59 in the state where the installation reference surface 51A is in surface contact with the attachment surface 55A, pitch in the sub-scanning direction of a plurality of light emitting points of the multi-beam semiconductor laser is precisely adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
