<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olfactory display capable of controlling time and space by a single mechanism using a diaphragm having a piezoelectric element and a wind power source. <P>SOLUTION: The olfactory display comprises an aroma chamber 12 and a wind power source 14, and presents aroma in a temporally and spatially limited range. The aroma chamber 12 forms an airtight space having a suction port 24 and a discharge port 26, and a solid aroma source 20 is stored therein. The wind power source 14 includes a diaphragm 34 to which a piezoelectric element 32 is stuck and, when an alternate voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element 32, vibrates the diaphragm 34 to generate an air flow. When presenting the aroma, air is sent from the suction port 24 into the aroma chamber 12 by the wind power source 14, so that the air in the aroma chamber 12 containing gaseous aroma component volatilized from the aroma source 20 is jetted out from the discharge port 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
