<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in fuel consumption due to an increase in rotational resistance of a belt and an unintended increase in speed reduction, and prolong the lifetime of the belt although having a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The clamping force of the belt is set to be small as estimated oil temperature becomes lower when positive torque is generated, and the clamping force of the belt is set to be large as the estimated oil temperature becomes lower when negative torque is generated. As the estimated oil temperature, first estimated oil temperature, which is higher than actual oil temperature, and second estimated oil temperature, which is lower than the actual oil temperature, are calculated. The clamping force of the belt is set based on the first estimated oil temperature when the positive torque is generated, and the clamping force of the belt is set based on the second estimated oil temperature when the negative torque is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
