FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: system involves control of wireless communication of access points (AP) in a heterogeneous wireless environment. As an example, system data of a wireless message may be configured to include information which identifies the defined type of a transmitting base station. In certain aspects, the information may include the access type of the base station and/or ID sector to distinguish the base station among a large number of other base stations. According to other aspects, the information may include wireless channel resources meant for a specific type of base station, or cancelled by the transmitting base station to reduce interference on such resources.
