<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for saving power by a more flexible method. <P>SOLUTION: A noise reduction circuit is constituted by being equipped with control means for varying a cycle of an active state, or a periods of the active state and a stop state to intermittently operate a CPU. In addition, electronic equipment is constituted by being equipped with: the CPU; and the control means for varying the cycle of the active state, or the periods of the active state and the stop state to intermittently operate the CPU.
