<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design by applying mirror surface treatment to a concave portion on the backside. <P>SOLUTION: An iron golf club is one made of metal material, which is manufactured integrally through press working. A head 1 has a concave portion 4 surrounded by a convex portion 6 in the backside portion 3 behind the face portion 2. Treatment for making a mirror surface is applied to the bottom portion 5 of this concave portion through press working with a fixed die 11 having a surface roughness finer than the mirror surface for which treatment for making a mirror surface is to be performed and a movable die 10.
