<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination unit for charging connector capable of achieving high durability, good appearance, and high versatility and capable of suppressing an increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: An LED 17 and a light-emitting display section 18 are covered with a permeable housing 20 or a non-light transmission cover 21. Thus, a totally difficult-to-break structure protecting a light source is achieved. Even when a feeding side connector 2 hits the non-light transmission cover 21 to cause a flaw or breakage therein, it is possible to replace only the non-light transmission cover 21. In addition, some non-light transmission covers 21 having different opening areas of a light passage window 40 are prepared.
