摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus in which the white balance of a picked-up image does not change even if the light emission wavelength of first narrow band light varies or the irradiation light quantity of the first narrow band light changes or the fluorescent characteristics of a phosphor change with time. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus includes: a first light source 42 irradiating first narrow band light with excitation wavelength; a second light source 44; wavelength detecting means 37, 39, 47 detecting and storing the excitation wavelength; the phosphor 20 excited to emit fluorescent light, changing in fluorescent characteristics according to variation in the irradiation light quantity and variation in excitation wavelength, and changing with time according to an actual operating time; a fluorescent characteristic storage part 29 having an operating time storage part 61 and a change-with-time table 63 and storing fluorescent characteristics; an imaging part 26 imaging and outputting picked-up image signals; and a control part 50 computing aging fluorescent characteristics and controlling the irradiation light quantity of the second light source 44 based on the aging fluorescent characteristics of the phosphor 20 due to the irradiation light quantity of the first light source 42 so that the white balance of the picked-up image signal has a reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
