<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of improvement in fuel cost during coast traveling and neutral traveling and securing of responsiveness to an acceleration request. <P>SOLUTION: A coast/neutral control device for a vehicle includes: a torque converter 2 to which driving force of an engine 1 is transmitted; a forward movement clutch 31 which is arranged between the torque converter 2 and driving wheels 6, 6; and coast/neutral controller of releasing the forward movement clutch 31 once a friction element release condition is established during traveling. The coast/neutral controller (Fig.5) includes torque generation oil pressure detector of detecting oil pressure at which the forward movement clutch 31 starts generating torque capacity after being released from an input/output rotating speed difference (Ne-Nt) of the torque converter 2 and a threshold; friction element pressure controller of controlling oil pressure supplied to the forward movement clutch 31 on the basis of the detected torque generation oil pressure; and a threshold changing unit of changing the threshold according to a vehicle speed or a value corresponding to the vehicle speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
