<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mammography apparatus capable of executing an overall examination and local examination of breasts without changing a compression plate and executing elastography further. <P>SOLUTION: The mammography apparatus includes: an imaging base 4 for supporting the breasts of a subject; a compression plate 5 which is provided movably in a direction of approaching and separating from the imaging base 4, and compresses the breasts supported on the imaging base 4; an X-ray output part 6 for outputting X-rays to be radiated to the breasts through the compression plate 5; an X-ray detection part 7 for detecting the X-ray which has transmitted through the breasts; and a partial compression pressure varying part 12 for partially changing the compression pressure of the compression plate 5 acting on the breasts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
