<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for distributing information which matches an area where terminal equipment is installed to the terminal equipment without inputting any information relating to the area where the terminal equipment is installed at the installation side of the terminal equipment. <P>SOLUTION: Terminal management means 20 of an information distribution device 2 relating to an information distribution system 1 is configured to, when receiving a session start request from terminal equipment 3, confirm whether or not the terminal equipment 3 is registered in a terminal equipment DB 23, and to, when the terminal equipment 3 is not registered, specify the area from the GIP of the terminal equipment 3, and to register the terminal equipment 3 in the terminal equipment DB 23.
