<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support system capable of suppressing the obstruction of an operation to an on-vehicle device even when there is an operation of scroll or the like by a portable screen. <P>SOLUTION: When there is a user operation through a portable screen of a portable terminal, the portable terminal shifts to a portable under-operation state (SA) in a portable side normal mode (M1). In the portable under-operation state (SA), a portable under-operation notice (a) indicating that the portable terminal is under the operation is sent out to a navigation device. The navigation device shifts to a portable under-operation mode (M5), invalidates reaction force by a reaction force generation unit, and shifts to a portable normal state (CB).
