<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosis system, an electronic control device, and a failure diagnosis information transmission method capable of transmitting failure diagnosis information without using cables or radio waves but using a light emitting component mounted on a vehicle in a non-contact manner. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic control device used for the failure diagnosis system of the vehicle (10) mounting a network (101) connecting a plurality of electronic control units (ECU) has a failure diagnosis information storing section (304) in which the plurality of ECUs receive and store failure diagnosis information on each unit to be controlled thereby, and a visible light communication control section (305) transmitting the failure diagnosis information to the outside through visible light communication using the illumination lamps by modulating the illumination light of the illumination lamps (104, 105) mounted on the vehicle according to the failure diagnosis information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
