<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the longevity of a fixing belt in a resistance heating fixation device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixation device allows a pressure roller 160 to press a pressing roller 150 through a fixation belt 154 from the outside of the fixation belt 154, the pressing roller 150 being movably inserted inside a rotation path of the endless fixation belt 154 including a resistance heating layer, thereby forming a fixation nip N between a surface of the fixation belt 154 and the pressure roller 160. The fixation device also allows the resistance heating layer to generate heat to perform a heat fixation of an unfixed image by letting a sheet having an unfixed image formed thereon through the fixation nip N. The fixation device has a constitution to supply electric power to the resistance heating layer by contacting a power supply member 170 with a pair of annular electrode layers 154e provided to have a sheet feeding area therebetween on an outer peripheral surface of the fixation belt 154. The power supply member 170 is provided in a more upstream side than the fixation nip N in the rotation direction of the fixation belt 154 and in a position where a part of the fixation part 154 from the fixation nip N to a contact position with the power supply member 170 is allowed to be in close contact with the pressing roller 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
