PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal seam roofing material which has excellent waterproofness and produces a good-looking integrated roof, and a connection structure of the roofing material.

SOLUTION: A long side 1d adjacent to the ridge is provided with a lower seam 2 for fitting to an upper seam 3 of a horizontal seam roofing material 1 which is adjacently arranged immediately thereabove. The other long side 1c of the long sides is provided with an upper seam 3 for fitting to a lower seam 2 of a horizontal seam roofing material 1 which is adjacently arranged immediately therebelow. A short side 1a of a pair of short sides 1a and 1b is provided with a lower step portion between the outer surface of the horizontal seam roofing material 1 and the short side, and a lower joint 4 having recesses 4b and projections 4c which extend along the ridge-eaves direction. The other short side 1b of the pair of short sides 1a and 1b is provided with an upper joint 5 which overlaps the lower joint 4 of the adjacently arranged horizontal seam roofing material 1 and forms a flat outer surface between the adjacently arranged horizontal seam roofing materials 1 in contact with an end face of the lower step portion.
