The invention relates to the main elements of electric equipment, particularly to the electrical insulators of overhead transmission line and is a high-voltage suspension insulator. The high-voltage insulator mainly of an aerofoil profile comprises a metal cap, a metal rod and an insulation detail. The detail comprises a head and a plate made as a sphere segment of variable thickness decreasing from the head towards the plate edge. On the lower edge of the plate at least one circular ring is made, the plate edge has a drop-shaped thickening. The ratio of leakage path (L) and plate diameter (D) lies within 0.9-1.05, the ratio of thickness of the insulation detail at the cap edge (h) and the thickness of the insulation detail before drop-like thickening of the plate edge (ho) lies within 1.2-1.4. The technical result of the invention is increase of aerodynamic characteristics and enhancement of reliability of insulator sets in the conditions of atmosphere and industrial pollutions. |
