<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary apparatus capable of maintaining predetermined shock resistance even when constituted thin on the whole. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary apparatus includes: a hub 20 to be mounted with a recording disk; a rotor R which has a shaft 22 coupled to a center hole 20a of the hub 20; a base plate 10; a solid body S which is fixed to the base plate 10, and has a surrounding member surrounding the shaft 22; and a lubricant 28. The surrounding member has a sleeve 16 and a housing 14 surrounding the sleeve 16. A first radial dynamic pressure generation groove and a second radial dynamic pressure generation groove are formed on at least one of an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve 16 and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft 22. The sleeve 16 has a flange part 16b, protruding outward radially, at an end on the side of the hub 20. The flange part 16b is provided peripherally with a recessed part 16e formed by digging at least a part of an area which is on an inner peripheral side of the flange part 16b and corresponds to the thickness of the sleeve 16 in an axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
