PURPOSE: A field connection type optical fiber connector is provided to simply perform connection and separation tasks of optical fiber and to be reused. CONSTITUTION: An entrance hole(112) accepting a coupling target body is formed at one side of housing(110). A first hollow space(114) is formed at the other side of the housing. A holder frame(120) is inserted within the first hollow space and is exposed to outside the other side of the housing. The holder frame forms a holding space for mounting a clamping unit in inside. The clamping unit is mounted within a slicing restriction recess in the inner side of a first restriction raised spot and a second restriction raised spot and of the holder frame. The clamping unit is elastically biased in a ferrule direction by a coil spring. The clamping unit mounts or releases bare optical fiber through a second hollow space of a fastening member.
