<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional video signal processing apparatus and method in which a three-dimensional view can be maintained excellent by approximating characteristics relating to luminance of a left-eye video signal and a right-eye video signal as further as possible. <P>SOLUTION: First and second histogram data are detected from first and second video signals for three-dimensional display by a histogram detector. A tone curve setting circuit generates first tone curve data based on the first histogram data. On the other hand, a correction parameter detector detects a correction parameter for making a luminance level of the second video signal close to a luminance level of the first video signal, and a tone curve correction circuit corrects the first tone curve data to generate second tone curve data. A video signal adjustment block adjusts the luminance level of the first video signal in accordance with the first tone curve data and adjusts the luminance level of the second video signal in accordance with the second tone curve data obtained by the correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
