<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device operating unit that has a simple structure and achieves an easy and accurate rotary operation of a rotating body through an intuitive moving operation. <P>SOLUTION: An operating unit 1 of a device comprises: a rotating body 2 in a generally cylindrical shape having a plurality of operation panels 4 on its side face; operation members 3, 3' disposed near the rotating body for conducting rotary operation of the rotating body; and a rotation assist mechanism 6 that is activated by a moving operation (rotating operation) of the operation members in the rotational direction of the rotating body and assists the rotation of the rotating body so that it automatically rotates and stops at a predetermined position. The rotation assist mechanism comprises a motor 61, a stop position detection part 62, and rotational direction detection parts 63, 64. The rotational direction detection parts detect the rotational direction of the rotating body caused by a moving operation and operate the motor so that the rotating body rotates in the same direction as this moving direction, and at the same time, the stop position detection part conducts control so that the motor stops when the stop position detection part detects that the rotating body has rotated up to a predetermined position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
