<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file configuration management system for simplifying the management of the parentage, authorized state and version of files. <P>SOLUTION: A file configuration management system consists of a plurality of clients who edit files, and an Author who gives a status of an authorized state to stored files. Each client and Author include: means for visually displaying the files received from a management device with a display format in which the current state of the files is identifiable; means for storing the edited files in a file storage device; and means for, as means for visually displaying the files, displaying the update history of the files with a tree structure in which the parentage of the files is identifiable, and for displaying the authorized state, and for grouping and displaying the arbitrary revisions of a plurality of files as one group. The Author includes means for updating meta information, and for performing the transition of the files to the authorized state, authorization stand-by state and under-edition state, and for permitting only an authorized person to update the status. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
