METHOD FOR INTERSCALENUS ANESTHESIA OF THE BRACHIAL PLEXUS IN SURGERY IN UPPER LIMB AND CLAVICLE IN PATIENTS WITH TRAUMA DISEASE

A method for interscalenus anesthesia of the brachial plexus provides for localizing the site for needle puncture at C6 level of the backbone between anterior and middle scalene muscles. The needle is pierced horizontally and directed caudally for administering the local anesthetic into the area of the trunks of the brachial plexus. Then the needle is pulled and the anesthetic is injected transversely subcutaneously in the area of the superficial cervical plexus. Then the needle is directed caudally to the upper edge of the first rib, and the local anesthetic is administered following paresthesia. Each time the anesthetic is administered in a volume of 10 mL. Naropin is used for this purpose.
