An electric power converter which is provided with: a power module which comprises a power semiconductor element that converts direct-current power to alternating-current power; a positive electrode wiring line and a negative electrode wiring line for supplying direct-current power to the power module; a driver circuit board which outputs a control signal for controlling the driving of the power semiconductor element; a control circuit board which generates an operation signal to be transmitted to the driver circuit board; and a metal member which electrically connects the driver circuit board or the control circuit board to the ground of a vehicle. The electric power converter is characterized in that the metal member is arranged at a position at which the electromagnetic noise of the positive electrode wiring line and the electromagnetic noise of the negative electrode wiring line are cancelled out by each other.</p>
