The present invention relates to a nonaqueous electrolytic solution for a secondary cell, the electrolytic solution containing methyl difluoroacetate as an additive. There have been instances in which, when methyl difluoroacetate is employed as the solvent and LiPF6 is used alone as the electrolyte salt in a nonaqueous electrolytic solution for a secondary cell, it is difficult to obtain a cell having good charge-discharge characteristics. This nonaqueous electrolytic solution for a secondary cell contains an electrolyte, a solvent, and an additive, wherein charge-discharge characteristics ranging from low temperatures to high temperatures can be improved by employing the nonaqueous electrolytic solution for a secondary cell, the electrolytic solution containing 0.05 mass parts to 10 mass parts, inclusive, of methyl difluoroacetate as the additive per a total of 100 weight parts of the solvent.
