<p>In order to waterproof the terminal portion of a multicore cable easily and reliably, multiple electric wires (3) are drawn out from the stripped end (2a) at the tip of the multicore cable (1), a hot-melt block (10) is assembled with the multiple electric wires (3) that have been drawn out, and the partition walls (11) of the hot-melt block (10) are arranged between the electric wires (3). Next, a region from the outer periphery of the electric wires (3) with the hot-melt block (10) assembled therein to the outer periphery of the sheath (2) at the tip of the multi-core cable (1) is covered with a waterproof heat-shrinkable tube (12), the inner circumferential surface of which has been coated with an adhesive (12a). Then, a heating process is performed, which causes the hot-melt block (10) to melt and to fill in between the electric wires (3), waterproofing the intervals between the electric wires (3), and which causes the waterproof heat-shrinkable tube (12) to shrink, waterproofing the outer circumferential side of the electric wires (3) and the outer circumferential side of the sheath (2) of the multi-core cable (1).</p> |
