Provided is a layered ceramic capacitor capable of minimizing modification of a ceramic even if V is added to a dielectric layer. The layered ceramic capacitor comprises: dielectric layers stacked on top of each other to form a layered body (20); internal electrodes (14) arranged between the dielectric layers of the layered body (20); external electrodes (16a, 16b) formed along an outer surface of the layered body (20), the external electrodes connected to the internal electrodes (14), and including a silver-containing layer having at least Ag as a main component; and covering layers (30) for covering at least part of those areas of the outer surfaces (20s, 20t, 20u, 20v) of the layered body (20) that lie along the edges (16p, 16q) of the external electrodes (16a, 16b), the areas being those covered by the external electrodes (16a, 16b). The dielectric layers and the covering layers (30) have, as a main component, a perovskite compound represented by the chemical formula ABO3, where A represents at least one of Ba, Sr, and Ca; B represents at least one of Ti, Zr, and Hf; and O represents oxygen. V is added solely to the dielectric layers among the dielectric layers and the covering layers (30). |
