[Problem] To provide a wet-heat metachromatic composition and a wet-heat metachromatism indicator having a degree of metachromatism that differs in wet-heat conditions and dry heat conditions, and which can be used in the detection of wet-heat conditions. [Solution] A wet-heat metachromatic composition containing a bismuth compound, a sulfur compound, a binder, and an organic solvent, and characterised by including, as the binder, a resin having a resin acid value of at least 50. Thus, by means of a wet-heat metachromatism indicator using this wet-heat metachromatic composition, it is possible to accurately determine, when implementing high pressure steam sterilization, whether or not wet-heat conditions suitable for sterilization treatment are being obtained, and whether or not sterilization treatment under wet-heat conditions has definitely been completed. |
