This manual transmission is provided with an input shaft (Ai), an output shaft (Ao), and an MG shaft (Am). This transmission is provided with an electric motor transmission mechanism (M2) which is capable of establishing a power transmission path between the output shaft (Ao) and the MG shaft (Am), and selectively setting "a ratio of the rotation speed of the MG shaft (Am) to the rotation speed of the output shaft (Ao)" (electric motor reduction ratio) in two stages (Hi or Lo). While a selecting operation of a shift lever (SL) (an operation in the left-right direction of the vehicle) is being performed on a shift pattern, the electric motor transmission mechanism (M2) switches the electric motor reduction ratio in conjunction with the selecting operation. As a result, the driver receives a shock caused by a change in the electric motor reduction ratio "during performance of a selecting operation"; namely, in a state where an externally received shock is less likely to be perceived, and therefore, the shock is less likely to be perceived. Thus, a manual transmission for an HV-MT vehicle, wherein the driver is less likely to perceive a shock caused by a change in the electric motor reduction ratio can be provided. |
