The method involves implementing a daemon (40) in a user space (16) assuring detection of events from a core space (14) as background. Charging of a host universal serial busbattery in the core space is controlled for subsequent communication with a multimedia subscriber identity module card (12). Creation and configuration of a USBor Ethernetnetwork interface (30) are controlled when the daemon detects a physical link of the multimedia subscriber identity module card. An independent claim is also included for a wireless telephone comprising units for implementing a method for establishing a connection between a server from a multimedia subscriber identity module card and an application of a user space on a platform.
