The present invention relates to a lid capable of preventing food from boiling over, comprising: a convex round body for covering an opening of a pot body; a recess unit formed in the lower portion of the inner surface of the convex round body; an attaching/detaching unit which fixes an upper rim of the recess unit to the convex round body such that the upper rim of the recess unit is detachable; an inlet hole formed in the upper portion of the recess unit such that the steam generated in the pot body is fed through the inlet hole; and an outlet hole formed in the lower portion of the recess unit such that water droplets condensed from the steam is discharged to the pot body through the outlet hole. The lid capable of preventing food from boiling over according to the present invention may effectively prevent the lid from being lifted or food from boiling over. The lid of the present invention has a simple structure for preventing food from boiling over to minimize an increase in manufacturing costs. The lid of the present invention may prevent the excessive discharge of steam to enable the cooking of food at high pressures, and may prevent a deficiency of water caused by the excessive discharge of steam during cooking. Moreover, the recess unit is detachable from the body of the lid, and thus the recess unit can be easily cleaned to enable the sanitary management of the lid. |
