[Problem] To obtain a simpler and more reliable structure for the joint between a rotor shaft and a rotary member joined to the rotor shaft in a rotary damper. [Solution] A rotary damper device (1) comprising: a damper housing (11) containing a sealed viscous fluid; a rotor (12) provided with a rotor blade (28) rotatably accommodated within the damper housing, and with a rotor shaft (29) installed projecting from the rotor blade so as to protrude to the exterior of the damper housing; and a one-way clutch (3) joined to the protruding end of the rotor shaft. The rotary damper device is characterized in that the one-way clutch comprises an insertion hole (44) through which the protruding end of the rotor shaft is passed, and a pair of regulating walls (44) erected on that edge of the insertion hole which is opposite from the damper housing side so as to face each other, with the insertion hole interposed therebetween. The rotary damper device is also characterized in that the protruding end of the rotor shaft is heated and deformed while passed through the insertion hole, and is made to protrude in the radial direction of the rotor shaft along the spacing between the regulating walls, and to engage with the hole edge of the insertion hole. |
