A heat exchanger includes: a heat-transfer-tube-bundle housing duct (20) that houses heat-transfer-tube bundles; openings (26) provided in a side wall of the heat-transfer-tube-bundle housing duct (20), the heat-transfer-tube bundles being insertable and removable through the respective openings (26); and bottom rails provided along a direction orthogonal to the direction in which exhaust gas (G) flows into the heat-transfer-tube-bundle housing duct (20), the heat-transfer-tube bundles being movable on the bottom rails. It is possible to draw out and remove only a certain heat-transfer-tube bundle. Thus, the maintenance period can be shortened, and the period for regular inspection can be minimized.
