[Solution] Provided is a negative electrode material for a lithium rechargeable battery comprising sulfide glass further comprising sulfur and ingredients indicated in the following ((i), (ii)), wherein the ratio of each of the ingredients is 40-80 mole% for sulfur, 1-50 mole% for ingredient (i), and 1-50 mole% for ingredient (ii).
