The invention relates to an electric machine, in particular a generator or motor, e.g., a generator for a wind turbine, with a disk-type design, comprising a machine housing and a stator which is fixed to the machine housing and which is formed from multiple primary parts that lie on a circular ring, and comprising an armature disk on which multiple secondary parts that lie on a circular ring are arranged. The armature disk rotates, whereby a gap is formed between the primary parts and the secondary parts within the machine housing, and an armature shaft is connected or can be connected onto the armature disk in a rotationally fixed manner. Said machine is characterized in that the armature disk is rotatably mounted in the machine housing via an outer circumferential rolling bearing arrangement, and the outer circumferential rolling bearing arrangement receives radial forces as well as axial forces in both directions. |
