The cover has a movable flap (1) pivoted, about a horizontal fulcrum pin (6), between a closed position, in which the flap closes an opening (2) formed on a side (3) of a passenger compartment of an electric vehicle, and an open position to allow access to a charging plug (4). The pin is located near an upper edge (2a) of the opening. An upper edge (1a) of the flap is connected to the upper edge of the opening by a flexible and impermeable membrane (8) made of rubber, such that the membrane forms a drain for collecting surface water or run-off rain water when the flap is in the open position. The flap has an inner face (1b) provided with a pin (15) made of flexible material such as rubber.
