The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a rubber composition which comprises a conjugated diene compound/unconjugated olefin copolymer, a conjugated diene polymer, and an unconjugated diene compound/unconjugated olefin copolymer and which is for use in producing a rubber that is excellent in terms of weatherability, rupture resistance, and crack growth resistance; a rubber composition for tire sidewalls which is that rubber composition and is to be used for the sidewalls of a tire; a crosslinked rubber composition which is obtained by crosslinking the former rubber composition; and a tire. The former rubber composition is characterized by comprising one or more, conjugated diene compound/unconjugated olefin copolymers (A) which have a content of moieties derived from the conjugated diene compound of 40 mol% or higher, one or more conjugated diene polymers (B), and one or more, unconjugated diene compound/unconjugated olefin copolymers (C) which comprise an ethylene/propylene/diene rubber.
