This connecting structure for connecting a steel pipe pile and a steel outer pipe arranged with an intervening gap outside of the steel pipe pile is provided with: a steel plate with multiple outward-facing protrusions which is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the steel pipe pile by means of a first weld; a steel plate with multiple inward-facing protrusions which is fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the steel outer pipe by means of a second weld; grout filled in the aforementioned intervening gap so as to embed at least the steel plate with the outward-facing protrusions and the steel plate with the inward-facing protrusions. The outward-facing protrusions are spaced from each other in the vertical direction and extend along the circumferential direction of the steel pipe pile, and the inward-facing protrusions are spaced from each other in the vertical direction and extend along the circumferential direction of the steel outer pipe.
