<p>Needle free dispensing is a low cost, simple device for drug administration that eliminates the commonly-occurring problems of contamination by ambient impure air and exposure of drug administrator to aerosolized drug molecules. It employs a hydrophobic filter, held firmly and in air tight manner in between two wings of a C-shaped seal. The other components of the assembly are a conical, hollow, V-shaped body and a sharp-edged cannula. The filter is pressed against upper surface of the C-shaped seal by the V-shaped body and the cannula during assembly, thereby forming a leak-proof joint.</p> |
