A cashbox (2) and a money identification device (1) having the cashbox (2). The cashbox (2) comprises: a left housing (41), comprising first, second, and third side walls (41a,41b,41c); a right housing(42), being symmetric with the left housing(41) and comprising fourth, fifth, and sixth side walls (42a, 42b, 42c); a first fixing board (43), fixedly connected to the second side wall (41b) and the fifth side wall (42b) through screws; a second fixing board (44), fixedly connected to the third side wall (41c) and the sixth side wall (42c) through screws; an upper cover (6) having a money inlet (21) and engaged with the left housing(41) and the right housing(42), so as to form a top surface of the cashbox (2); a box door fixing board (52) and a box door (51) pivotally connected to the box door fixing board (52) through a rotary shaft (53), forming a rear surface of the cashbox (2) together. The box door fixing board (52) is engaged with the left housing(41) and the right housing(42), the box door (51) is connected to the upper cover (6) through a security lock (54), and screws are all disposed in the cashbox (2). The cashbox (2) has all components being fixedly connected through screws in the box, thereby having a firm and secure structure.
