<p>An authentication system (16) and a method suitable for indicating that a device (12) requesting access to restricted resources from a resource system (14) is authentic. The authentication system (16) and method include receiving an authentication request from the resource system (14), the authentication request including data representative of a dynamic key transmitted by the device (12), determining an indication that the device (12) corresponds to an authentic device based on the received dynamic key and stored historical information in relation to the authentic device, where the stored historical information includes one or more previously generated dynamic keys in relation to the authentic device, and transmitting the indication that the device (12) is the authentic device to the resource system (14) for use by the resource system (14) in determining whether to provide access to the device (12) for the requested resources.</p> |
